McDonalds never has ice cream

Today has been the second Sunday in 2 weeks that I have been to McDonalds only to have a sign up stating either "ICE CREAM MACHINE OUT OF ORDER' ' or today's one "NO ICE CREAM UNTIL 18H30"... really!!!
I have a 6 year old that wants a happy meal and a McFlurry.
I think its ridiculous and when you ask the attendant's why, you dont get a response, just a blank look on the face.
When will your ice cream machine be fixed and why is ice cream only available after 18h30???
