Take-away fastfood is not my bag. I prefer to cook my own food. Have been pretty good at it for 40 years (just ask my wife, who is an exceptional chef).
On Saturday! 6/11/2013, feeling peckish, I popped in at well-recommended Cabana Cabin, Kenilworth Centre. Disgusted at 46 minute wait. My tillslip could not be found, nor my meal. I got agitated, became vocal and voluble, moreso when the owner arrived. I misinterpreted his demeanour, took exception to having my honesty and integrity questioned. I had a seriously infidel moment, particularly when he told me I was rude (for using the word "")Good heavens! Good thing, as a Capetonian, I refrained from, insulting his mother or her genitals. Got banned from his shop, for life nogal. I subsequently laid a curse on him.
Well, having calmed down, I realised I am the one at fault. I had lost my tillslip. Because I operate on trust, I expected the saleslady to remember my ugly mug and act likewise. Unfortunately, some miscreant had evidently picked up the receipt and nicked my order. The proprietor was at no time rude, in fact quite civil and fair. He did offer me a replacement.
I do believe I owe that gentleman an apology. And the curse is lifted.
