I ordered an Americano from the manageress on duty who poured the espresso for way too long, making it taste diluted and like dishwater. The ideal pouring time of 20-30 seconds didn't come into it. She kept pouring till it was 2/3 full. When I asked for another cos it tasted horrible, I was told to pay for it and this is how she was trained to pour an Americano. This is NOT how to pour an Americano. So I ordered another one with the hot water on the side (which I did ask for initially, but was ignored) and paid for it as well.
Hated being lectured when I ordered an Americano, I expected that an establishment of M&B's ilk would know how to pour one.
So, I left disgruntled having to pay for 2 drinks, and insulted by the manageress.
Next time it's House of Coffees over the road.
