Mugg And Bean
Will never pass a good word of mouth ever again

23rd May 2013, 03:15pm, a friend & I decided to have a late lunch at Mug And Bean in Gateway, Durban. We order our meals, the same, only to clearly mention that due to religious reasons we don't eat pork or beef & was it possible to substitute that for lamb or chicken. According to our waiter, it was no problem. When we get our meals, my friend realised that the sausages were beef. But without making a fuss, we kindly asked the waiter to give us the lamb sausages as ordered. The beef sausages were taken back, only to be returned to our table. My friend & I while in conversation & not realising that it was the same beef sausages once again, took a bite. Once again we called over the waiter & the manager, without making a fuss. The manager then brings it to our attention that the Macon was actually beef. She then goes on to apologise & says that the meals will not be charged to us. I tell her it's not a problem for me to pay as I've eaten half of my meal as then but she insists for her to take care of the bill. But as we are in the passage of Gateway, the waiter runs out saying we haven't paid the bill, which I eventually paid but embarrassing in the manor that it was done
