Good product - Terrible service

Requested assistance with policy upgrades last year and had no calls except contact numbers emailed to me and copied to my broker. Got sick in january and ended up in hospital and was limited to student benefits. Complained to a manager in JHB. She referred case to agent in Durban. Agent sees me without knowing the case. A series of correspondence follows to get quote and then instate policy. Submited claim for hospital visit.received email next day confirming recipt of claim and stating a 64hr turn around of claim. After 2 wkes called pps after no response.after follow up, pps advised that claim was rejected as policy only started in april although policy was taken in 2001. 3 weeks now, still no response.seems the product is great but the service is very poor.if this is how hard a time pps gives me-the person who took the policy, what will the srvrice be to my beneficiary if something happens to me? Risk is too high with this poor service and now decided to cancel all policies with pps. The product appears to be good, but the poor service overshadows the benefit.be warned! Your beneficiaries could suffer.
