Policy benefit is not clea

My vehicle is insured but it is not covered for towing costs, when I phoned Club McCarthy to claim for this benefit I was informed that it wont be covered since I have insurance and that the benefit is only for insured vehicles, but from what I read it says:

"Been in an accident? We'll tow your vehicle.
We'll arrange to tow your vehicle. This service is
only offered in the event that your vehicle is not
drivable and not covered for this cost under a
short-term insurance policy. At the time of the call
for assistance, members with short-term insurance
cover will be transferred to their relevant insurer
or broker for assistance at their own expense."

This clearly states that "not covered under a short-term insurance policy" which is the case with my short-term insurance policy, why can I not claim if this is the case??
