Old Mutual show lack of competence in following through on a policy to be paid out to beneficiaries on death of the policy holder.

How is it that there is a policy in place and 2 of the 3 beneficiaries are paid a week ago whilst the 3rd beneficiary is still waiting to be paid out? Not only that but an email is sent to all 3 beneficiaries almost a week ago stating that the policy has been paid out and is now closed.

On closer investigation and 4 calls later to their call centre it is finally discovered that they paid monies to the wrong type of account for the 3rd beneficiary on Friday last week despite them having all the correct documentation.

They are all for investing and in my opinion they owe the 3rd beneficiary 7 days of interest on the payout they were suppose to make a week ago when the claim was 'settled'. They certainly do not walk their talk!

This is exactly why I will never invest or commit to having any policies with Old Mutual.

In a world where it is tough to secure and keep customers they really don't get it!
