In 2012 I took a funeral cover policy for Old Mutual through a broker only known to me as Zama and I completed the form in her presence. The form was handed over to her so that it can be sent to their head office for capturing and issuing of the policy schedule/contract. However when I received the policy contract, I discovered that there are gross irregularities that could have led to the repudiation of the claim in any event. I immediately informed the broker about the problem that the beneficiaries details were incorrect i.e the name and the date of birth, she promised to attend to the problem but she never did. I personally contacted Old Mutual contact centre, still I was never assisted. I further sent emails to them instead they told me to send the beneficiary's's ID copy to which I do not see any need because I still do have the copy of the original application form which i believe they still do have and should be referring to it in order to rectify all the details the captured incorrectly. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THEY DID THIS DELIBERATELY SO AS TO RIP US OFF!!
