Unprofessional Communication style

I was waiting in the reception area and a Nedbank consultant walked past me and asked: "Is tannie al gehelp? ". I am only in my early fifties and a professional and I don't believe I look THAT old! I did not show any response but felt rather offended to be addressed in such a familiar and unprofessional way.
