Nedbank
Corporate or should I say Afrophobia

I am a Foreign National with a valid work permit. I work with a hospital in PMB. I applied for Car Finance for the duration of time left in my contract and the response I got from Nedbank which is supposed to be my bank is 'We do not finance Foreigners'. I am still baffled by that response; are Foreign Nationals doing honest jobs in South Africa not supposed to drive; why exactly doesn't Nedbank finance foreigners even for the duration of time left on their work permit. Isn't this reminiscent of the events of 2008 but on a Corporate level, because it sure did hurt me as much.

Why didn't Nedbank tell me that they wouldn't open an account for me because I was a Foreigner; they bank for Foreigners but they won't finance them.

Will Nedbank tell a Foreign National from Europe or America with an honest job and a valid work permit that he won't get finance because he is a Foreigner; of course No; Is it because I'm from an African country. That's why I believe this is a case of Corporate Afrophobia and it hurts to know it exists
