My car was in an accident on 27/02/2013, towed & got a courtesy car same day. I thought I had the greatest service ever until I made follow ups with the panelbeater (SilverStar) & insurance regarding the status of the repair to be told the same story, that they are waiting for the parts. Worried that the 30 days period of the courtesy car was coming to an end, I decided to go to the panelbeater on 26/03/2013 to see the car only to find it parked outside with the same story of parts. On 5/4/2013 I got an sms notifying me that the parts have been received, the car is in repair shop. On 17/04/2013 I got a call from the insurance giving me the same update. Today I decided to go to SilverStar, to my shock my car was still parked outside not repaired. The panelbeater allocated the job told me he received the parts but had to send back the 'cradle' as it was sub-standard and requested that the original part be bought as it would give me problems in future. I went to the office to complain to the insurance rep for being to & the matter of a "fake" part. All I got was a verbal apology she didn't know, no offer for a courtesy car although I stated the incovenience of not having a car.
