Land Rover South Africa
Delay in parts and refusal to extend courtesy ca

Cars & Transport

My Landrover ("LR") vehicle was in an accident on 9 April 2013. The parts required in order to fix the vehicle had to be imported from LR overseas. These parts were due within 2-3 weeks from the date of order. There was however a delay in LR delivering the parts as a result of a delay from their manufacturers such that parts will only be delivered on the 18th June 2013. My insurance company Outsurance gave me a courtesy car for 30 days and extended it by a further 5 days due to the delay. LR then stepped in and provided me with a courtesy car while I was awaiting the parts to be delivered. I recently however received notification from LR that the courtesy car has to be returned on the day the parts are delivered. I think this is unfair as my car will not be fixed in one day. The reason the car has not been fixed is due to LR's delay and now they would like to walk away as soon as the parts are delivered. LR should take full responsibility for the delay in the car being fixed As a result they should be willing to provide me with a vehicle for a few days while the car is being fixed! I am very disappointed in LR and the way they have dealt with this matter!!
