3 Time FNB is misguided me and over stepping laws

Business & Finance

Good day,

In february 2013 I was phoned by FNB Telemarketers where the lady spoke so fast I had no idea she was talking about and she told me about debt protection and the cost will be R50 a month, after over R500 was taken from my cheque account, I emailed FNB card services to cancel the debt protection. The reply was "We refer to your recent communication dated 26 February 2013.
Thank you for your communication, and confirm that the Debt Protection Plan [TDPP] has been cancelled as requested.
Please note that we unable to refund you with the debits in question, reason therefore is that you would have been covered for the period.
Should you have any queries, please contact us on the number below
". Now again in April money is taken from my account over R500 and I have been mailing FNB since Monday with no reply to pay back my money as I cancelled the debt protection, as she also states I will not get my money back but as per the Consumer protection act of S.A I have the right to cancel any contract and the moneys must be paid back. So I ask is this fair?
