Our Vehicle was from the Gautrain Station on Feb 26, 2013. We (the client) have provided all information required to the assessor, who has still not handed in the report to Santam. This has resulted in our claim not being finalised. The assessor says that he is awaiting CCTV footage from Gautrain to finalise this matter. This is the final information required, however, there has been no progress on this matter as we were told this 4 weeks ago already. We have tried to get other info to satisfy the assessor, such as parking ticket, card reading confirming travel to OR Tambo, as well as tracker log. He claims this proves nothing. WHAT EXACTLY DOES THAT MEAN? However, while he's waited a month for Gautrain Security, we are without a vehicle, still paying installment and insurance premium and all Santam can say is, we are waiting for the assesors report, whilst the assessing company gets paid for their time. This is unacceptable! The claims handler commited to escalate the matter to get back to me Monday, and never did. Insurance is taken for these exact reasons, however, Santam seems to think that our policy is restricted by CCTV footage! I didnt see this clause in the policy
