Tried to close my Nedbank Gobanking account over the phone (moved to Australia, kept bank account until all debit orders were done) Phoned Friday 05 April to have account closed, person involved only closed the card, not the account. Phoned today 08 April, was on hold for 20 minutes collectively, spoke to about 8 different people and then I was informed that I cannot close my account over the phone and that I should have known to have signed an indemnity form prior to leaving the country. Then I was put on hold again, waiting to speak to a person by the name Sarah (at 0114801000) and my call was dropped. This is utterly outrageous, not to mention expensive because of additional service fees being deducted from an account I don't use as well as having to phone from Australia to South Africa. Would sincerely like to have this dealt with as soon as possible considering the circumstances
