False advertising, pathetic service!

Not impressed with the service at all, especially being new to Outsurance and paying a higher premium than I paid with my previous insurer I expected better service. I was at a car dealership on Saturday about to sign an offer to purchase and called the call centre for a quote on the new vehicle insurance premium. I did not have the luxury of time to go through the entire process of underwriting and explained to the consultant and manager that they could use my existing details on the system as nothing has changed. I would then call back on Monday to go through the lengthy underwriting process and take out the policy. However, they could not assist. This is really stupid! Surely you understand that when at the dealership time does not permit the lengthy process and a quote is not taking out a policy. The managers explanation for not being able to assist wast that if I had a claim it would be a problem. How stupid is that? How can I claim for a car I did not buy yet on a policy I did not take out yet? Really now, this is just pathetic... and you advertise on TV that Outsurance will bend over backwards for their customers. False advertising. Stupid reason to lose 3 clients.
