I m so frustrated with Standard Bank. I ve a business account with them (past 10 or more yrs) and in the process of opening another new business. Its impossible to get to speak to someone. You get the 3rd degree when you call customer service and ask for someone specific. I m sick to death of telling my whole story every time I call and then get told a message will be sent and the person will call me back. I have been waiting (and calling in between costing me a few hundred rand in airtime) over a week to get a call from the person I wish to speak to in order to arrange a meeting. My emails get an automated response saying that the bank has high volumes of emails and they are attempting to get through them & I ll be contacted. I wonder why!? Nobody is taking calls so what are they doing? If I don't get a positive response I m taking my current business to Nedbank together with my new business. They ve already in principal agreed to assist me with a start up business loan despite the fact that I do not bank with them. Does Standard Bank not need my business? It would seem that way. Now it remains to be seen if there will be a response to this complaint and if so how long it ll take
