Opening an FNB account my worst nightmare

Don't be fooled by FNB advertising! I tried to book open an account online - still the same paperwork required except you have upload it and having correspondence being sent back and forth. And the courier service (CCD Couriers) the 1st attempt they end up in Sandton (and not Midrand) I had to call again and make an appointment for delivery - which arrived 4 hours after the indicated time slot. Ok now 6 weeks later my account is activated and I rocked up at the bank (since I have not received my e-registration card). 90 minutes later I walk out there under the impression my online facility has been activated. Several attempts and a call to the call centre later I was informed that my registration wasnt completed and told to go to the branch (again). Taking halve day off at work I went back to the bank again - waited an hour in the queue (again). The the fun part sitting with a consultant issuing one E-registration card after the after, calling the call desk repeatedly and eventually giving up. Now I must try to register and mail the screen shot of the error to them. Here I am - more than 2 months later without the facility I desperately needed. I should have stuck with ABSA.
