I get called by a FNB consultant to join up with them. Makes it sound flattering with eBucks and the smooth bank switching procedure. I am willing to make the switch and the card gets delivered to me at work a few days later. I go to the branch to apply for a credit card and revolving loan to cancel out my previous bank's debt and they reject my application. I get given a phone number by the consultant for me to find out why the application was declined, only to be made to wait on the phone for more than 10 minutes. I call again and ask them to return the call. They tell me they are an inbound call centre and they advised that the consultant was supposed to call me, I shouldn't have been calling them myself. Upon further inspection of my profile more than a week later, the reason for the declining of the extra services was the fact that they had almost all my information incorrect (from my education level to my years of work experience) and still requesting more documents as we go along, with promises of it all being sorted out in the morning. I have now reached the point where I have lost all trust in the bank. Terrible! It has been almost a month of me trying to sort this out.
