I recently went into an FNB branch for a 3 month bank statement.

Today I logged onto my online banking and seen an amount of R29.70 was taken out from my account twice (12.03.2013). I went back into the branch and the same guy who assisted me initially with my bank statement (Bafana Mbatha) today tells me that there are system issues and the system automatically deducts double, he cannot assist me and I must come back another day as there is a lady on leave who does that. What an inconvenience.

Firstly if you are aware of system issues advise your customers and if it is a system issue where the system automatically deducts money from your account surely you should be able to automatically REFUND that amount! Had I not picked this up and queried this I would never got this money back.
