In a nutshell. I was looking for household contents cover and Hollard contacted me after I had done a hippo comparisons online. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Brenda and gave her all details etc. I advised her that we had burglar bars but not on all windows. And the windows we didn't have burglar bars were higher up and the only access to it was via a ladder and also one set of windows downstairs had our cupboard against it, she was fine with it and covered me accordingly. I was suppose to start my cover with them on the 01 May 2013 but decided a day later to start it on the 01 April 2013. I gave the call centre a call and changed the inception date, thereafter a new policy was sent to be with the incorrect security measures, I had to call the call centre again and basically had to answer most of the questions as if I was just taking this policy out. Thereafter I was told that because all windows didn't have burglar bars I will not be covered. And then Brenda called me to say that apparently a new underlining were in place. I mean this is utter nonsense, had I not called in for the inception date I would have not know anything. i am so angry!!!
