EFT Transfers, Std. Bank to Std. Bank, Delay

I have been a Standard Bank client since 1988. I am currently a prestige client. I have recently found, that a transfer from a Std. Bank account to another is no longer instant. Taking 24-48 hours to clear. I phoned the hot line to understand Standard Bank no longer instantly clears interbank transfers, I find this very disturbing as all banks in civilization, clear funds between their own accounts! Absurd, I had a significant transfer sent to my account from another Standard Bank account, was done at approx. 1-2 pm Saturday, Not here. Why is it not instant as it has always been? Is this how Standard Bank conducts itself now? Its this not turning back progress with regard to improving the customers banking experience? What he/she can do? To be behind your competitors? I would like answers.
