No claim processing let alone payout after a year

It is now a year & 3 months since I submitted my sister's accidental death claim. I had to send the documents more than 10 times over but for some reason the complete documents never make through to AIG's offices. I have come to understand after reading some complaints that this seems to be a strategy they employ "frustrate till inaction". I am always told that the investigators are trying to get hold of the information. My question is who are these investigators and why would it take so long for them to get the information? I went out of my way to help AIG verify my claim, I liaised with another company my sister had a policy with that had an independent verifier come to my house and verify the claim, I asked them to help me in providing AIG with information to fast-track the claim, they agreed. I told AIG of this but because it seems they are not interested in verifying the claim but more in not paying it out they never explored this alternative further.

To a certain extent I am happy I am not the one who took out this policy & that my sister is not the having to endure all this stress while she paid her premiums timely. We do not ask companies for miracles but to do as the
