CUSTOMER ASSIST - NO ASSIST!!!

Went into Standard Bank to apply for customer assist. Was given the telephone number which I called and was told I would receive an email with all relevant details. It has been 3 days and I have not heard anything back. I have been a loyal customer for 25 years and cannot understand why it takes this long to respond a request. On trying to call the customer assist line several times it takes on average 25 minutes before getting to speak to a consultant. If this is such an integral part of Standard Bank's services, why not appoint more personnel to this function. It would seem that competing banks paying good money to advertise on radio for their services are giving Standard Bank a serious run for their money. When calling customer assist you should at least be told that on average you will wait 25 minutes before a human speaks to you, and then you might wait another 3-7 days before receiving a response.
