Customer assist? Do they really? I am a Standard Bank customer for over 20 years know. For the first time I ran into Financial difficultly. My wife lost her job meaning a sudden loss of income, but she still has 2 Standard bank Loans to re-pay. I am trying increase my RCP loan to pay off all my other debt (Including my wifes loans) in order to reduse my monthly re-payments. The RCP loan department called me back on my way to a meeting, so I asked that they call back in an hours time since they do not have a number were I can return the call. Still waiting. When I called customer care to try and get hold of the RCP department, they told me about Customer Assist and that I can apply for a Debt Consolidation Loan. I called Customer Assist and gave all my details on the 8 Oct. Today when I called (becuase once again no feedback received!) I had to find out that they can't assist because "MORE THAN 70% OF MY DEBT IS NOT WITH STANDARD BANK". Really!! LOL! Next time, please tell your customers before hand that if ALMOST ALL your debt is not with Standard Bank that you can't assist with a Debt Consolidation loan. ( Not that It make sense). RCP People, still waiting!!!
