I have never received bad service like I did today. I have recently opened a potentiate account with absa, its an elite banking product so they say, but the is nothing elite about it at all. I have made about two phonecalls to the helpline, the first person directed me to another who couldn't help, thE second phonecall I made the guy said I must go to the branch, which is fine. I went to the branch and activated my card and still my cheque accnt is giving me trouble to access it. The lady at the branch was helpful but she apparently didn't know much about the product. What frustrates me and ticks me off is the lady that called me today, she called me to welcome me to this account and tell me about the benefits I explained to her the problems I'm having with this account, she was so rude to me, absolutely rude. When I asked her what would be the solution, she was rude and said I could take my account elsewhere. I'm strongly considering this. Absa you need to train your personnel on your products and also on people skills.
