Old Mutual
MEDALS NOT SPONSORED

For the past couple of years Old Mutual has been sponsoring our school with one athletics meeting per year. Their name is printed on the ribbons, we make a big fuss of their sponsorship during the day, their logo as well as participation is printed on the program for the day and a report is sent to The Recorder (newspaper) where they are thanked for the sponsorship. We have also given them names of people that they can contact and follow up on advertising. In 2012 the same procedure has been followed. Corne together with her husband, Johan de Villiers, again committed themselves and Old Mutual to our event. We bought the medals, printed the ribbons and did the advertising. When we submitted the bill, Old Mutual had lots of stories and new forms that we had to complete. We did our part, but Old Mutual never paid the medals. I have followed this up, many times but just get excuses from the company. I feel that we gave them all the possible advertising, we acknowledged them on the ribbons and still they refuse to pay what they promised. What should we do now? I feel like cancelling my policy, because their commitment!!
