NOT SURE WHY I ACTUALLY PAY AN INSURANCE COMPANY

Since my car accident early last year it has been one frustration with Alexander Forbes, their risk department just does not seem to be doing their job or rather trying a little harder. Ive been paying an additional amount of almost R 300 towards my insurance premium, even though the accident was NOT my fault, my excess is also still outstanding to me. The last two months I have receievd the same answers from them - AWAITING A SETTLEMENT FROM THE THIRD PARTY. In the meantime i'll just keep paying for someone else's mistake.
Can someone who wants to help please assist me.
