Outsurance ridiculous excess payment

I J Kruger writing this complaint on behalf of my wife FM Kruger.
We do have insurance on my wife's VW POLO 1.6GT. No we do want to register a claim with Outsurance to replace the windscreen. Now the lady Cindy's manageress inform me that the excess payment is R900.00. This is totally unacceptable, as a windscreen only costs R1098.00 Now the question is why do I pay insurance and other companies excess payment on a windscreen is in the region of R250.00.
This is absurd and all the insurances are a bunch of money grabbers. They are very keen to take our money every month but now there are hidden agendas. The advert that sais on TV that they are bending backwards is a lot of.
