Funeral Policy Pay out 48 Hours - Think Again

Our son died 22 Dec 2012. We completed all the nessecary forms, etc to claim from two funeral policies on the 4 Jan 2013. After numerous e-mails and visits to Hartbeespoort Absa Branch we have not received any response or feedback. The people at the branch are bending backwards to assist us, but the credit life department is like non existing. On Friday 22 Feb 2013 I got the first call from Absa life cover telling me that there are a lot of documents outstanding on the claim on my son's name I said it was impossible and asked her to open her file and page through it and miraculously she found all the missing documents!!! She replied by "O I will process it now" When I asked her about the policy on my name she replied that she is not working on that and dropped the call! Next thing we received a call from Hartbeespoort branch requesting a letter from our son's doctor and another police report - This all after 7 weeks! What if we relied on ABSA'S word and needed the money to bury our son! I am very disappointed in the way this matter is handled and the feedback. Can somebody maybe just find out what is going on!
