Extra money diducted from by car hire

On the 13/12/2012 I took my car for repairs with the promise of getting my car before the workshop closes for december holiday i.e. 21/12/2012. i got to the workshop on the 20/12/2012 just to check if they will deliver on their promise, only to find that there is stil a lot of work to be done. I called my issurance and they promise me to sort it out as i am going to exceed 30 days (curtesy car period) as they are opening on the 8/01/2013. NB i made it clear to consultant that during january i wil be ineed of a car as I am taking my son to a new school and I have taken a leave.on friday the 18th the mail was sent to my work e-mail informing me that I must return the hired car on that specific day otherwise I wil incure the cost (i only see that mail when I got back to work on the 23/01/2013 and my only means of communication at that time was telephone of which they are having my number. the money was diducted for friday sat, sund and monday. since then I have been promised to get a feedback until today (18/02/2013) when they say they are not going to refund me becuase I have exceeded 30 days but they manage to pay for another extra days.
