I am absolutely tired of Standard Bank, I have reached my last straw with this Banking Institute!
My ATM card, chip card, expired on Jan 2013, and guess how I found this out? Yes, I saw it on the bottom of my card, but being a busy working-person, we don't find the time to look at the bottom of our card, we go to the ATM and when the ATM doesn't give us our HARD EARNED CASH, we then check the bottom of the card!

I noticed this on the 05/02/2013, and So I proceeded to my Branch: Florida Rd, which somehow closed down and moved to Rosetta Rd (yes, thanks for letting me know, considering that is my branch!). I went to the nearest branch, Windermere who then proceeded to give me a temporary card (which btw takes 24hours to be activated), and they said I will have to go to MY BRANCH at Rosetta Rd. But because it was 11h15pm on a Saturday, MY BRANCH was closed, so I would have to go the following weekend, because some of us don't work in Florida Rd.

My query is - WHY WAS I NOT NOTIFIED BY SMS or CALL, that my new bank card is at my branch? This had not been communicated, why am I not made aware to "Fetch" my card!
That's just sad, say bye to your clients
