Consultants should be more knowlegeable

I would have assumed that the insurance company would ensure that their consultants would be sufficiently trained & have the knowledge to deal with clients when dealing with geysers etc, or at least have a manual of some kind that they can refer to instead of just aggravating the customer. The experience I have recently encountered could easily have been dissolved if 1st the plumber also had more knowledge about what he was installing & had given me the Geyser Handbook & then when contacting the insurance company, the consultant referred me to the SANS1025 legislation which is SABS approved instead of insisting the geyser must be set at 60 degrees & notably when it's a formal complaint. THE FACTS ARE THAT THE GEYSER INDUSTRY HAS CHANGED SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THE YEARS & IT IS NOT THE MANUFACTURER & THE SPECIFICATIONS ARE OUTLINED IN THE HANDBOOKS & IN LEGISLATION REF - SANS1025. Eventually the GM from Kwikot contacted me & the matter was resolved. I'm paying premiums & have had a bad experience with the 1 plumber some years back who apparently had installed a reconditioned part as it was replaced shortly after, so I make it my business to understand & not just accept what I am told.
