Charging account fee on account that was supposed

A month ago (20 Jan) I first attempted to close my Standard bank cheque account, and after 4 attempts through various channels (secure message, phoning card division, and visiting a branch) the account was not closed. I have reference numbers for all of these attempts. I would log into online banking everyday to check if the account was closed, and on the first of Feb the account fee was charged and my account was now in an overdraft. I decided to go into the Sandton City branch to sort this out and a woman named Ntsiki helped me close the reverse the account fees and close the account - perfect. But in the process of closing the account a pro rata fee came off the remaining balance as a "SERVICE FEE". No fee should have been charged because the account should have been closed in January. I have just been on the phone with Ntsiki after struggling to find her through the branch call centre, only to be disconnected when requesting to speak to a superior. THIS IS, the fact that standard bank have neglected to close the account because a handful of people cant do their job properly is not my problem. Get back to me with a response.
