On Friday we had a lightning strike that seems to have damaged out gate motor. I called on Standard Bank Insurance Brokers on Saturday to report it. Was given a reference no 9441907 and told to call again on Monday.
That I did and spoke to a Tshepo who was very helpful and who later called me back inform that he transferred my details to another person who would be calling me back.By Tue 11:00 having heard no squeak, I called again. I eventually got through, only to be dropped back in the queue as soon as I started talking. I tried a few times unsuccessfully to re-establish contact but eventually gave up.
I have had this policy since 1989 and have not claimed a single cent. The first time that I tried to contact them, this is the type of experience.
I then registered a complaint at standard bank, and three hours later received a computer-generated acknowledgement. Nearly 36 hours later and I have not been able to speak to a single person.
I have come to realize that the only way to talk to giants is through Hello Peter, so here is my next attemp.
I would suggest that you visit, and learn from, Outsurance to see how call centers are operated, because my business is going there
