Not bad service - ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICE

On the 26th November 2012, i filed a claim due to damage done to my home by a hail storm. The roof was leaking, certain rooms had no electricity and a wall had sustained a large crack. I received a claim number and was told an assessor would be arriving soon. To date no one has arrived. As part of my house was in darkness I then called in an electrician to repair the main electric board which had been damaged by the excessive hail. I expect to be reimbursed for this and the roof repairs i had to perform whilst waiting for Standard Bank. The crack in my wall is still there untouched and unseen by any assessor. Between the 30th Nov & 12 Dec 2012 i tried to contact Standard Bank's Insurance department several times but was on hold for approx an hour each time before hanging up. I then on the 13 Dec 2012 emailed them - still no reply although the my email was acknowledged as received. On the 7 Jan 2013 i emailed them AGAIN. Still no reply. I am utterly shocked by the lack of service by such a large corporate bank.
