I am on Exceller banking package and with private banking being serviced by Sonja. I had a big problem with unauthorised debit orders going through on my account. I referred this to Sonja. She just passed it on and I was cc'ed on e-mail. Next I was send e-mail by Amanda who did not properly read my e-mail and had no idea what was going on. Needless to say after a lot or correspondence and telephone calls for my account the problem was solved. I told Sonja that I expected her being my personal banker to handle a problem and after it was resolved report back to me.
Now I have a new problem regarding my Absa Rewards status. Being on the exceller package which states automatic subscription to Absa rewards. I have used my credit card since August 2013 and have received no feedback /contact or points. Again I e-mailed Sonja enquiring about it.
All response I got from her was phone this number 0861 238888. This after (the debit order debacle) I had a sincere talk with her regarding what I expect from a personal banking service.
I really expect someone to at least try to be of assistance
