Student achiever acc

I opened a student achiever acc with standard bank in 2008. We were approached at the adult school by THandi and other consultants who introduced the acc and its benefits to us. My problem is that standard bank converted my acc to an overdraft without my knowledge bcoz they feel i no longer qualify as its restricted to 26 yrs. Why was the acc opened for m at the age of 26 and why convert to an overdraft as the acc is accumulating charges every month? why notify me after the decision has been taken? I onlyfound frm the letter that the acc is restricted to 26 years. Please help m as this is a problem for me.
