Standard Bank
Student Achiever Banking Fees

Business & Finance

To Whom It May Concern,

I was recently informed that from 1 January 2014 the maximum age criteria for the Student Achiever account is 23 years of age. I am still a FULL time student and will be over the maximum age criteria and will probably be closing my account to avoid paying the exorbitant monthly management fee. For FULL time students studying towards post graduate qualifications or even Doctorates, the maximum age criterion should be at least 25 years, as in accordance with Standard Banks competitors.

So after 17 years of being a loyal Standard Bank customer, I sincerely hope that decisions should be made to change such an age criterion, as in the not too distant future I will be a working professional most likely contributing bank fees to another bank.
