Insured for 10 years - first claim... not paid!

In the early hours of 28 January, we had a power surge that resulted in numerous electrical appliances and equipment being blown. I registered a claim and was told that nothing is covered due to an exclusion on the policy... I was disgusted at this response since I've had the policy for 10 years and this was the first claim on the policy. Standard Bank Insurance. I will move my policies... even at a higher premium!
