I am dismayed to report failure by ABSA to effect the very basic requirements when requiring service. On 18 January 2014 our geyser burst and had to be replaced immediately to ensure that no damage to the ceilings occurred. The claim for insurance cover (NUMBER 2524502) was faxed to ABSA. After a lengthy without any reply my wife who has cover being the home owner phoned to obtain news regarding payment. After waiting 45 minutes without reply she gave up the ghost. Today she again attempted to gather some form of life from the insurance dept and eventually got a reply that the claim was approved and that a completed form was required before payment. The person promised my wife at 11.45am today that he would email this form to us immediately. WELL IT IS NOW 17.00 (5PM) and nothing has come. What gives ABSA is there a strike on the go?
