ATM jams cash deposit for 6 days!!!

I made a deposit into my Bluebean card and the machine jammed my cash only sending back the card. I managed to get the bank to log the fault. I then get told it will take 6 days which means my payment will now be late and I don't have access to the cash. The one person at the bank told me it shouldn't be long because they service the machine daily so it should be balanced by tomorrow. Then I go back today and call then call centre with a Reference given to me and I get told it was not assigned yet. I cant believe this, this was an ATM fault not mine and I expect my money to be credited before the weekend.
