Not receiving a settlement lette

My credit card account was handed over to munnik basson daGama inc. and on the 5th september last year i called them to arrange to settle the account in full. i spoke to nosipho who advised the settlement amount was R3291.00 and which i paid immediately and faxed proof of payment as well as requesting a settlement letter. i phoned her and she acknowledged receipt of the payment and undertook to email me a settlement letter. to date i have not received a settlement letter. last week i received an sms from hammond pole attorneys saying the same account has been handed over to them. i told them i settled the account and told them to confirm with their client (fnb) these people are harassing me sending me smses on a daily basis and calling on my cellphone. surely it is the duty of fnb to advise their client not me. i have been calling fnb on a daily basis (sometimes four times) requesting the letter and each time they promise to email it. i have been explaining to them that the reason why i settled the account was to avoid being harassed and these smses and calls embarrass me because sometimes hammond pole attorneys call me at work and my clients have lost faith in me as a result
