I received a phone call today, 2014/01/25 13:45 from this lady informing me that the debit order for a vehicle payment did not go through, despite the fact that there is more than sufficient funds in the account. When I enquired as to why the debit order did not go through I was met with a condescending rude attitude. If I was to speak to a client in this manner, I would be told to get stuffed and lose their business, which I am now considering.
Conveniently, she could/would not give me a reference number for the call and only identified her manager as Erika.
This is completely unacceptable, we have been banking with Standard Bank for over 10 years with multiple business accounts and to be treated like criminals for a debit order failure, even if it is us that is at fault, is completely unnecessary.
