Damaged my home further and still no assessor!

Our geyser burst., We logged a call to our insurance. The plumber arrived only the following day - we live in Durban! The replaced the geyser. They then broke our ceiling around the trap door Once they had left I noticed that they had also broken tiles in our bathroom. That night we realised that they broke wires of our alarm
We reported that the water smelt of burning plastic. We were told to hang on the smell would go away - a week later it is still there.

Then another contractor arrived to fix the ceiling and said he wasn't prepared to do the job as we had damage in our roof from borer.

They returned to fix the tiles - the tile doesn't match in colour.
They returned a week later to fix our alarm after I threatened to cal our security company to do the job.
Whilst fixing the alarm they fell through another ceiling in my house with the result of black dust falling all over furniture and cream carpets.

We have called Stanbic on many occasions to try and get an assessor to come to our home and sort out a useless contractor to no avail.

Are all insurance companies this bad? You pay for years and then when you claim you can't get them to your property?
