When do we get what is rightfully ours?

My husband submitted all documents requested for the payment of his Surplus Benefit, and we confirmed that all was received and updated by 4/12/2012. Each time we followed up, we received a different story, like it could take up to two months, wait 8 to 10 weeks etc. I have been trying to contact the call centre on 0861504455 for three weeks now and cannot get through. It either doesn't ring, or I get a message saying the number is "not available" or "No reply" from the number. I e mailed them and have not have the courtesy of a reply either. When I called late yesterday afternoon, I got through, but the minute I made my selection (2 for enquiries on Surplus Benefits) I was cut off! This morning, "number is not available" again! Having worked in the Pension Fund Industry all my life, I am shocked that we can be treated this way! Surely they are obliged to pay out the amount once they have all your details. This is what was promised in the letter to my husband, enclosing his benefit statement. What are they waiting for? Everyone to give up on their benefits that are due to them! Shocking, shocking, service. Maybe should contact Ombudsman or Carte Blanche to investigate this!
