SHOCKING policy re surplus

I started the whole surplus process on behalf of my father more than a year ago... and have been waiting... and waiting and waiting... calling and calling the surplus call centre and receiving the same tired answer no matter how nicely or assertively you ask!!! "Wait for your statement in the mail." What??? In this day and age we have to wait for snail mail to deliver a statement and THEN wait for the snail mail to deliver the necessary form to be sent back to MIBFA so that we can wait another year for payment (hopefully). Sad sad sad... As mentioned by other complainants... they also disappeared off the airlines for a few weeks... no notice on their website... nothing... Interesting how some organisations think that their customers have nothing better to do than to chase after them for hours on end.

I had such a good impression of this company when I assisted my father with his disability and pension payout. Such smooth sailing. It is a huge pity that this surplus experience has marred it!

MIBFA, this is the year 2013... you can do much better! Your customers are flabbergasted!
