Dont make use of ABSA INSURANCE!!!

My parents submitted a claim to ABSA in the beginning of Dec 2013 due to hailstorm. Claimed for 7 broken windows and roof damage to their property.

I've contacted the call centre to follow up the progress as my parents battled to get through to 0860 106 237. I spoke to PUMEZA after holding on for 40 min. she told me that the claim for the windows will be paid and that I must hold on she will process the payment.

I hold on for 20 min and the phone got cut off. Pumeza did not call me or my parents back advising us that she is/was busy processing the claim.

My dad spoke to the assessor -Warren who will revert back to him soonest, which never happened. My parents concern is that its raining and the carpets will get damaged due to the broken windows. They dont want to use their Insurance BUT THEIR INSURANCE DOES NOT HAVE THE DECENCY TO INFORM THEM ABOUT THEIR CLAIMS SUBMITTED.

Warren the Assessor did not even climb onto the MAIN roof to assess the damages? this already make me unsure is he competent to give advice? I work for an Insurance company myself this is shocking!

Please could you get back to me regarding both claims.
