ABSA'S FAILURE TO ASSIST IN INSURANCE CLAIM

On 2/12/2013 I lodged a claim with ABSA for damages the weather has caused. My whole roof collapsed as a result of the weather. On 3/12/2013 & 4/12/2013 I phoned ABSA's call centre for an update on my claim. I was told to phone another number for assistance. I contacted the number provided between 4/12/2013 and 6/12/2013 and spoke to numerous different claim handlers whereby I was told to contact the an assessor would come the damages. To date no assessor has assessed the damages and upon querying this with ABSA I was told to phone the contractor myself. Why must I do the work for the claim handlers at ABSA and arrange for a contractor to attend to the fixing of my roof.

I was very desperate to have my roof fixed due to the fact that all my kitchen appliances and furniture are being damaged as a result of all the rain recently.

When I contacted the contractor I was told that they cant attend to my damaged roof as they have to much work.

I have pleaded so many times with ABSA to send someone to fix my roof however they only promise to phone me back, which they fail to do. It has been more than 2 weeks since I lodged my claim with ABSA.
