Sunday 4th, February 2013, I did an online money transfer from my account to another person's account. On realising i had entered the wrng details and the funds were already sent, i immediately went to the bank (i was at the ORTIA) to ask for the transaction to be reversed. The lady who assisted me told me it was my fault i transfered the money into that person's account and that she couldn't help reverse the money. She gave me a form to fill in and told me the reversal would take up to 5 days, if at all.. I just couldn't believe what i had just heard. I mean the transaction was just 5 minutes old. I was given a number for the people whom i could contact to find out how the case was going, i called them yesterday and they couldn't even help me. I was informed the process takes 5 days and there was a possibility i wasn't going to receive my money. If the bank teller/consultant had done her job properly i wouldn't be stranded without money right now as she would've reversed the transaction 5 minutes after i had made the payment and the possibility of the wrong person taking my money would be inimal. I demand that my money be reversed and it was FNB's fault that it wasn't done..
